Then, teaching them more about prayer, he used this story: “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You say to him, 6 ‘A friend of mine has just arrived for a visit, and I have nothing for him to eat.’ 7 And suppose he calls out from his bedroom, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can’t help you.’ 8 But I tell you this—though he won’t do it for friendship’s sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.

Christ introduces this prayer model to refer Jesus as our “friend”. An important aspect of this prayer is that as we ask we are not ashamed to ask for aid even in the middle of the night and it's okay to ask Jesus and be persistent in asking, seeking or knocking.

3. A private, distraction-free location with an internet connection.
4. A location where you can speak out loud with ease.
5. Anoint yourself with oil.
6. Take communion.
7. Put on the full armor of God.
8. Write 3 to 4 traumatic moments for Jesus to heal.
9. Write 3 to 4 negative emotions or demonic oppression issues for Jesus to heal.
10. A prayerful attitude and willingness to repent and/or forgive as needed.
11. Come expecting to receive in Jesus name and put all of your trust in the Lord.
12. Worship and seek after the Lord before our session.
