Why You Feel So Stuck Right Now (The Trap of Tammuz)

What Happened in the Bible During This Month?

In the Bible, the month of Tammuz was always a time when people got tired and made big mistakes. This is the exact time of year when the Israelites got tired of waiting for Moses to come down from the mountain.

They got lonely, they got anxious, and they lost their focus. Because they couldn't see what God was doing, they panicked. They took all their gold, melted it down, and built a golden calf to worship instead.

The enemy uses the exact same trick today. He wants to make you tired of waiting. He wants you to get so worn out by your problems that you just give up, stop trusting God, and accept being stuck as your permanent reality.

The Middle-of-the-Year Squeeze

Think about where we are right now. We are right in the middle of the year. July is like a long, narrow hallway between where you started and where God is taking you next.

Because you are in this hallway, the enemy throws everything he has at you. He brings back old fears, family drama, money struggles, and a heavy feeling of laziness or stagnation.

He wants to tire you out right before your breakthrough comes. He wants you to look at that wall in front of you and think it's never going to move.
